One simply cannot forget the fall/winter 2011 campaign of Lanvin, when Raquel Zimmermann and Karen Elson were dancing to the tunes of “I know you want me” by Pitbull. That marked the beginning of a time when campaign films were to be funny, at least the ones coming from Lanvin. This season, it is no different.
The campaign film of spring/summer 2013, shot by Steven Meisel, initiates in a very serious and luxe feeling mood starring Karlie Kloss, Daria Strokus and Saskia de Brauw. All of a sudden however, a Skype call from head designer Alber Elbaz breaks in, then to start commenting how much he loves the campaign. Apparently, Elbaz could not make it to New York to shoot the campaign of the spring/summer 2013 collection due to the storm Sandy. Resulting in a creative concept out of the modern technology.
